About Me

Emma and Rachael webMy name is Rachael Maltby and I earned my strategic communications Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University. I am proficient at all Adobe Creative Suite programs, GarageBand, Final Cut, iMovie and all Microsoft programs. My skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are particularly strong. I am a very creative person, with skills emphasized in photography.

I worked for Oklahoma State University’s school newspaper, the O’Colly, as the photo editor from August 2014 to May 2015. I began as a photographer at the newspaper in August 2013 and rose to photo editor. Details of this position are further described here.

In the summer of 2014 I participated in an internship at the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Washington D.C. I handled a variety of tasks that emphasized my skills in designing and communication. I created presentations for a program the bureau was implementing that year and communicated them in a manner for any knowledgeable presenter to personalize it and/or teach it.

Kusler Consulting logoI designed the Kusler Consulting logo and assisted in designing the concept for its website, lean4highered.org. Along with developing her logo, I designed her business card and advertisements. You can see my works for her website at this link.

I am currently looking for a position in public relations or related fields at a firm or communications department.

I am a quick learner and pick up concepts and methods easily. I continue to strive for more information in my career field. I am able to alter my skills to the needs of the position and company I work for to better the company’s image and reputation.
